2021 - Pandemic Teaching via Blackboard LMS
I was able to convert the following courses to online only: Interviewing, Introduction to Mass Communication, Introduction to Audio Production, and Emerging Media.
2020 - Manager Prince George’s Community Radio, Prince George’s Daily Podcast
In this role, I created a daily podcast for Prince George’s County. The podcast reaches thousands of residents in the Prince George’s County community as well as outside the area and outside the country. We interviewed several local and national celebrities including (but not limited to) Thomas “nephew Tommy” Miles, Debbie Morgan, Monica Goldson, Lexi P., and Angela Alsobrooks.
2019 - Concentration Coordinator
In this role, I worked with a consultant team to create a new area of academic study. Three courses were created for this new program, Emerging Media, Social Media Production, and Advanced Audio Production. Based on research with the consultant team, these courses will lead our program into the future.

2018 - Humanities Representative for Faculty Senate/Faculty Organization
In this role, I represented faculty members for Speech, Foreign Language, Philosophy, Art, and Mass Communication. This is a two-year commitment.
I helped negotiate an evaluation program for faculty with the Executive Administration team. I also helped to create a system of review for faculty representation on hiring committees for lead administrators and executives.

2017 - Overhaul of One Year Certificate Program
Created three separate tracks for students graduating with either an Associate’s degree or a program certificate. The three tracks are video production, audio production, and emerging media. As a part of the new program, I created courses in Emerging Media, Social Media, Advanced Audio Production and an online hybrid course for Interviewing Communication. (#of students in program since overhaul)
2016 - Coordinated Campus Media Day
Hosted 150 high school and middle school students who have an interest and are studying Mass Communication. We helped students create music videos, news broadcasts, and radio broadcasts.
Academic Advisor
Began advising 32 Mass Communication Students, helping students schedule classes to stay on track for graduation or transfer.
2015 - Promoted to full professor
Departmental Assessment Team - Department Chairperson -- created assessments for courses in Theatre, Mass Communication, and Speech to assess the reliability of effective teaching in each of the academic areas, Speech Communication, Theatre, Technical Theatre, and Mass Communication. Nine course sections impacted, 180 students.
2014 - Director of the Veteran’s History Project
Created, directed, and produced 36 videos for the US Library of Congress, coordinated interviews with veterans from all branches of service with students and local government agencies.
Began teaching spoken American English for non-native speakers. Taught a total of 120 students strategies for oral presentation for an American Listening Audience.
2013 - Served as State Chairperson for “Skills USA”
A national program that introduces high school students to professional level work in a variety of areas. I was responsible for creating challenges and judging competitions for audio production. Winning students competed nationwide against other state winners.
Created SportsNest YouTube channel for broadcasting college sports, the template that is still used for student live broadcast of sports events on campus. My team of students created video broadcasts for Basketball, Soccer, Track and Field, and Baseball at Prince George’s Community College.
2012 - Promoted to Coordinator of the Mass Communication Majors Program.
Managed Associate of Arts Program as well as Certificate program, recruiting, assessing, advising, and promoting the program within the college community.
Managed seven part-time coordinators for Radio Program and Video Services Program.
Awarded National Carl Perkins Vocational Education Grant. Received $60,000 for staff and equipment for one certificate program and 60 students.
2011 – Radio Station General Manager
Built Recording studios for Radio Broadcast with “Whisper Rooms”, Broadcast consoles, Digital Recording Devices, Microphones, Audio Monitors, and related connectors.
Launched a second online broadcast radio station, “Prince George’s Community Radio” (PGCR) on UStream. Managed three work-study students to help operate radio stations and create music libraries for PGCR and PGCR-Global.

2010 – Radio Station General Manager
Launched Live Broadcast Radio Station, using UStream.TV
Awarded Faculty Mentor of the Year for creating Student Radio Club and Audio Production Club, served with campus faculty Mentor program to advise male students toward graduation.
2009 - Created Broadcast News Course, a survey of Mass Mediated Communication through news broadcast. Students learn how to create both a radio newscast and a television newscast, by first learning to write in Associated Press Format, moving toward learning to properly create/produce a newscast and read a teleprompter as if speaking naturally to an audience.
2008 - Constructed Radio Production Lab with connected computer lab for digital editing and producing. Enhanced Introduction to Radio Course to accommodate beginning level engineering as well as production.
